  Moose Lake

Moose Lake (2008 pop. est. 2,386) serves as a regional center and economic anchor for the southern half of Carlton County. Located on Interstate 35, Moose Lake has a strong and healthy economy with many visible signs of progress. These include an updated downtown business district, expanding medical campus and growing freeway corner development.

Surrounded by beautiful lakes, rivers and forests, Moose Lake is a natural destination for tourists. The nation's longest paved recreational trail, the 72-mile Willlard Munger State Trail, passes through Moose Lake and connects the community with Duluth. Moose Lake also is a trail-head destination for the Soo Line Trail.
