Tofte Township (2008 pop. est. 261) is one of several scenic communities along Minnesota's North Shore of Lake Superior.  Tofte's Historical Society governs the North Shore Commercial Fishing Museum, which showcases the area's long standing ties to that industry.

Along with its neighbor Lutsen, Tofte is located along the 154 mile North Shore Scenic Drive, home of seven state parks, dozens of unique shops, art galleries, restaurants serving fish from the area and other popular cuisine.
