The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) is a comprehensive regional institution offering undergraduate students 12 bachelor's degrees in 75 majors. There are graduate programs in 20 different fields along with six cooperative programs through the Twin Cities campus. UMD's School of Medicine has a two-year program.
The University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy recently opened a branch at the Duluth campus. Fifty-two students began the four-year professional program in September 2003. With the shortage of pharmacy practitioners in Minnesota, it's expected enrollment will reach the program's capacity of 200 students by 2007. |
