There are few places where you'll find a higher quality of life than the Duluth-Superior MSA. The area offers excellent public, private and charter schools, progressive health care, affordable housing, low crime, and minimal traffic, all in breathtaking surroundings.

Lake Superior, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, Voyageur's National Park and the Superior National Forest are just the beginning. Residents and visitors can enjoy 18-hole championship golf, downhill and cross-country skiing, hunting and fishing, hiking and biking, snowmobiling and camping. There are many regional college and high school sports teams to support. For arts and entertainment lovers, the Duluth/Superior MSA offers a symphony orchestra, ballet troupe, community theatres, historical museums, art galleries and exquisite dining and hospitality.

Regional attractions and events draw hundreds of thousands of tourists each year. The U.S. Hockey Fall of Fame, Richard I. Bong World War II Memorial Center, Great Lakes Aquarium, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Marine Museum, Glensheen Mansion and Ironworld Discovery Center are just a sampling of popular destinations. Notable annual events include Grandma's Marathon, Northshore Inline Marathon, The Bayfront Blues Festival, Polkafest, Superior's Dragonboat Races and numerous ethnic and community festivals, such as Virginia's Land of the Loon Festival and the Blueberry Festival in Ely.
