  Cotton Township

Cotton Township (2008 pop. est. 492) could be called the "Gateway to the Iron Range." Located 30 miles northwest of Duluth on U.S. Highway 53, it offers convenient four-lane highway access to regional centers in the Twin Ports, Eveleth-Virginia and Cloquet. Known for hosting the annual Minnesota State Old Time Fiddle Championship and Festival, Cotton is fine-tuned to attract business and industry, as well. A sizeable tax-free JOBZ sub-zone that abuts U.S. 53 is a perfect location for wood products manufacturing or many other uses.

Cotton residents enjoy an outstanding rural quality of life. With more than 10 lakes within the township borders and ample public lands, it offers many opportunities for fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and other outdoor recreation.
